Walker Information

Dear Buddy Walk Participant,

On behalf of the Down Syndrome Aim High Resource Center (DSAHRC), I would like to thank your for your interest in attending the 2009 Capital Region Buddy Walk, to be held on Sunday, October 4 in Schenectady Central Park. The event begins promptly with walker check-in at 12:30 p.m.

Our annual Buddy Walk is one of hundreds held across the country to kick-off Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October.

This is a one mile inspirational walk and day of activities to raise awareness and funds to continue the mission of the DSAHRC to provide services and support to individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

This year, we are expanding this event to serve as a vital fundraiser for the DSAHRC. While the event continues to be open to the public and free of charge, we are encouraging attendees to raise pledge funds from family, friends, colleagues, and others. All donations - large or small - will help support the mission of the DSAHRC to provide valuable services to Capital Region families.

Download our pledge form to collect and organize donations you receive for participating in the Walk. Information on donation details, including complimentary gifts for those raising funds, is included on this form. We have also attached a fact sheet on the Buddy Walk and the DSAHRC to discuss with potential donors how their donation will help our cause. Thank you again for being part of the 2009 Capital Region Buddy Walk.

We look forward to your participation and will see you on October 4!!!

Sincerely,
Kandi S. Terry
